Terms of Service
Effective date: 22 July 2026 · Last updated: 22 July 2026
These terms govern your use of Inserviss Beacon, operated by Inserviss, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Inserviss,” “we,” “us”). By using Beacon you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What Beacon is
Beacon is an AI-visibility scanning and reporting tool. It asks realistic buyer questions to third-party AI systems, measures whether a business is named in the answers, and reports a visibility score, gaps, and an estimated opportunity size.
Results are informational and are not guarantees. They are derived from third-party AI systems that Inserviss does not own or control, whose behaviour changes over time and varies between runs. Scores, gaps, and opportunity figures are estimates — opportunity sizes in particular are clearly labelled as estimates with their assumptions stated, never as measured fact. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any result, that your visibility or ranking will improve, or any particular business outcome.
2. Free-scan limits
The free scan is subject to usage limits so the shared service stays available to everyone:
- One free scan per business every 30 days. If you resubmit a business still within that window, we show you its existing report rather than running a new scan.
- An overall daily limit across all free scans. When it is reached, new free scans may be temporarily unavailable until the next day.
These limits are current defaults and may change as the service evolves.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- circumvent, automate around, or otherwise abuse the free-scan limits or the shared budget (for example, scripting bulk submissions);
- use Beacon or its results to harass, defame, or target competitors or any individual, or to harvest data for those purposes;
- submit information you have no right to submit, or use the service for any unlawful purpose;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its systems.
4. Ownership
Inserviss owns the Beacon platform, its software, and the form and presentation of its reports. Submitting a business for a scan does not transfer ownership of that business’s own information to Inserviss — it remains yours.
You grant Inserviss a licence to process the information you submit in order to provide the service and to improve its underlying measurement (as described in our Privacy Policy).
5. Payment
Beacon does not charge for scans today, and we do not collect any payment or billing information. If we introduce paid plans in the future, they will be governed by additional terms presented to you at the time of purchase; nothing in these terms describes a paid plan that exists today.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Beacon is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results reflect how any specific AI product will answer at any given moment.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inserviss will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or business, arising out of or relating to your use of Beacon. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100), which the parties agree is reasonable given that the service is currently provided free of charge.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Beacon, in whole or in part, at any time — including where we reasonably believe the service is being abused or used in violation of these terms. We may also modify or discontinue the service.
8. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Your continued use of Beacon after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
